Once again, the city of Casper has come through in a big way.

Today, we sat in front of the west side Wal-Mart for 4 hours, hoping that folks would stop by and donate a couple bucks here and there. $3,823 later (plus the $4,485 in the gofundme account as of this posting), Casper has once again proven it loves to help out it's own.

Special thanks goes out to Lane, a 10 year old boy who's birthday is today. Not only did he donate half of his birthday presents, but he also brought the Thankful Thursday crowd to tears last night, and managed to get the group to donate $1,075 in a matter of minutes.

While this is a great start, the Stevens' still have a long ways to go to recoup their losses from the fire that destroyed everything they own on Wednesday night.

- For more funding, please follow the link to donate: http://www.gofundme.com/h87dqs

- For tangible donations such as clothes, bedding, etc, John Kirlin has made it possible for all things to be dropped off at the Casper YMCA at 315 E. 15th St.
