Staying Cold and Very Breezy To Windy [VIDEO]

A fast-moving weather disturbance will move across the state of Wyoming today.  Light to scattered snow showers will develop in western Wyoming by mid-day and will then continue to push into the rest of the state during the afternoon and evening hours.  While little to no new accumulations are expected, roads will be slick and icy.  High winds are also expected through mid-day, with wind gusts across southeastern Wyoming staying between 50 and 60 mph.  Winds will lessen for the rest of today, but could still be strong at times.  Blowing snow and reduced visibility will continue to be an issue along I-80 (Cheyenne to Rock Springs) and I-25 (Colorado state line to Wheatland).  Temperatures will be not as cold as they have been the past few days, but it will remain colder than normal.  Expect high temperatures in the 20's to lower 30's.  There could be a few lingering flurries or light snow showers early on Friday as our latest weather disturbance pushes out of the region.  We will then see increasing sunshine with improving weather and travel conditions for the rest of the day.  Temperatures, however, remain cold and below normal.  The next cold front and weather system arrives this weekend, which will mainly bring strong to very high winds to the region.
