The National Weather Service in Cheyenne has posted flash flood watches and warnings for much of southeast Wyoming for today, Sunday May 8.

There are also winter weather advisories in effect for some high mountain areas. The map below shows the areas included in the warnings. The areas in dark green have flood watches in effect, while areas highlighted in  bright green have flash flood warnings.

The blue areas have winter weather advisories in effect.

A flash flood warning means the danger of a flash flood is considered imminent. A flash flood watch means conditions are favorable for a flash flood to develop, but the threat is not yet considered imminent

The warnings and watches are in effect until 6 p.m.
