UPDATE: JUST AS THIS WINTER STORM HIT WYOMING MONDAY, 1000 RESIDENTS OF GLENROCK  LOST THEIR NATURAL GAS SERVICE.

SOURCEGAS SAYS THOUGH, AFTER WORKING THROUGH THE NIGHT, BY LATE TUESDAY, THERE WERE ONLY 7 CUSTOMERS WHO STILL WERE WITHOUT GAS.

WORK CREWS WERE BROUGHT IN FROM SURROUNDING STATES, AND HAD TO LITERALLY GO HOUSE TO HOUSE TO RELIGHT CUSTOMER'S UNITS.

SourceGas has arranged to open a warming station at the Glenrock Recreation Center, 412 S. Fourth St., for customers while crews work to restore natural gas in the Town of Glenrock, a company spokesman said in a news release Monday evening.

Many customers lost natural gas service earlier Monday.

"We have over fifty SourceGas team members on-site or en route to Glenrock to help reestablish service safely and efficiently," Aaron Owens said.

"We will be working through the night to relight customers and anticipate having all customers relit by noon Tuesday," Owens said.
"If a customer is not home when we stop the first time, we will leave a notice on their door with instructions. They are encouraged to leave their porch light on to indicate that they are home and we will stop on a subsequent pass through the neighborhood," he said.
SourceGas reminds customers to leave faucets dripping to help prevent indoor water pipe freezes.
The company also reminds customers to only use backup heating sources that are approved for indoor use, Owens said. "While we do not anticipate any unsafe situations as a part of this incident, if you smell gas please move immediately to a safe location in another building and call SourceGas at 1 (800) 563-0012."
