With a strong ridge of high pressure still in place, the hot temperatures will stick around as well.  Highs will reach well into the 80s and into the 90s for the next few days.

Within the ridge of high pressure there is some atmospheric moisture to work with.  Therefore, thunderstorms cannot be ruled out.  Scattered thunderstorms will develop and push through central and eastern Wyoming later today and on Thursday too.  Eastern counties look to be in the best position for thunderstorm activity.  Some storms could turn strong to severe in the east today and contain damaging winds, hail, heavy rain and frequent lightning.
