A few redeveloping snow showers we be found in the western portion of the state today, especially in the mountains.  Lingering snow showers will also be found in the northeast where a Winter Weather Advisory is in effect through 12 noon.  Other areas will experience more settled weather and more sunshine.

The wind picks up in many areas of the state on Thursday.  High Wind Watches have been posted for Thursday for portions of southeast Wyoming along I-80 between Rawlins and Cheyenne .  West to northwest winds at 25 to 40 mph are expected in the watch areas, with gusts to 60 mph at times.  Very strong winds are expected across other portions of the state as well.

As far as precipitation on Thursday, most locations will be dry, with the exception of some mountain ranges.  The far northwest and the Sierra Madres and Snowy Ranges in south central Wyoming may see a few snow showers.
