JACKSON, Wyo. (AP) — The owners of the Snow King Ski Resort in Jackson are proposing ambitious plans they say are need to keep the ski operation open.

The plans include installing zip lines, an alpine coaster and a bike park.

Snow King managing partner Manuel Lopez and co-owner Clarene Law say they hope to partner with local government and community groups to raise the money necessary to pay for projects.

They said Snow King needs new features to be profitable.

Town Planning Director Tyler Sinclair tells the Jackson Hole News & Guide (http://bit.ly/JA8O8v ) that the proposed recreational amenities likely would be allowed under the existing resort plan.

The ski area has been a significant feature of the town since skiers began hiking up the mountain in the 1920s.
