Most area schools have cancelled classes today because of the heavy snowfall and difficult driving conditions. Officials with Natrona County School District have cancelled classes for Wednesday. In addition, Casper College has called off classes for the day, as have Saint Anthony Tri-Parish Catholic School and Paradise Valley Christian School.

The latest snowstorm to hit Wyoming is making driving treacherous. Early Wednesday, Interstate 25 remained closed in both directions between Cheyenne and Douglas. The southbound lanes between Casper and Douglas were closed, and officials advise no unnecessary travel in the northbound lanes.

A 150 mile section of Interstate 80 between Cheyenne and Rawlins was closed in both directions, along with shorter eastbound sections of Interstate 80 between Rawlins and Rock Springs. You can check on the latest road conditions, closures and view highway webcams at the Wyoming Department of Transportation website.
