A Casper man has entered his pleas in a case in which he's accused of stealing from the city fire and police departments.

Twenty-four year old Skylar Larson pleaded not guilty to two counts of burglary and one count of property destruction, after he was accused of stealing more than ten-thousand dollars worth of items from the downtown Casper Fire Station and several police cruisers.

Investigators say in February, firefighters reported someone had entered station number one during the overnight hours and stole firefighting equipment and a TV.

A number of Casper police cars had also been burglarized.

Investigators say a piece of pool cue chalk led them to a nearby bar, where employees named Larson as a suspect.

Police say Larson confessed to the crimes, claiming he had been drinking prior to the burglaries.

He’s free on fifteen-thousand dollars bond, awaiting trial.
