A Casper man is heading to prison after admitting he started a fire that caused a small explosion.

Twenty year old Skye Willow was sentenced to four-to-five years in prison, after he pleaded guilty to one charge of third degree arson.

At the same time, he will also serve a five-to-six year prison sentence, after he pleaded guilty to one count of burglary.

Casper Police say in November, witnesses in the 200 block of North Jefferson Street, reported seeing Willow fleeing the area, following a small explosion, that happened in the entryway of a home.

Willow later admitted to investigators to lighting a box on fire and opening the valves of oxygen tanks that were in that box.

He also said he was intoxicated at the time.

He has been ordered to pay $4,200 in restitution.
