Stubborn strong high pressure is still overhead and will not budge anytime soon.  This means more heat and mainly dry weather for the Cowboy State.  The exception will be the southeast corner and the south central mountains where a few isolated, gusty thunderstorms will be possible.

Please exercise extreme caution as conditions continue to be very dry statewide.  Most of the state is under a Red Flag Warning through 9pm this evening.   Temperatures will soar into the 80s in the higher elevations, with 90s to near 100 degree readings in the lower elevations.  Southwest winds will gust to 30 mph at times.

The weather for the 4th. of July will be much the same with hot, mainly dry weather and little if any chance for moisture.
