Six more horses have fallen victim to a horse hair bandit in Natrona County.

The Natrona County Sheriff’s office received the six reports Wednesday. Two horse tails were harvested west of Casper-Natrona County International Airport near Cattle Trail Road, one tail was cut from a horse near East Turquoise Road and tail hair was removed from three horses near South Lark Spur Road.

Over 30 reports of stolen horse hair have been fielded by the Natrona County Sheriff’s Office. Reports of stolen tail and mane hair have also been received by both the Converse County Sheriff’s Office and the Freemont County Sheriff’s Office.

Officials with the Converse County Sheriff’s Office believe the mane and tail hair is being used in jewelry.

All three sheriff’s offices are looking for suspects. Those who have more information are urged to call their local sheriff’s office.
