Wyoming's senior senator encouraged Americans to remember veterans and honor those who continue to serve in a Memorial Day statement released from his office. U.S. Sen. Mike Enzi said our veterans deserve a place in our hearts every day.

Both of Wyoming's senators, Enzi and Sen. John Barrasso, met with 110 Wyoming World War II veterans earlier this month. An Honor Flight brought Wyoming veterans to see the World War II Memorial at the National Mall in Washington, D.C., May 18th.

Sens. Enzi and Barrasso participated in a wreath-laying ceremony and thanked members of the greatest generation for their service.

A video released by Enzi shows some of Wyoming's veterans and their reactions to the memorial, such as William Goodman of Sheridan, who said it was impressive. The veterans also offered words of gratitude and encouragement to those currently serving their nation.

Sen. Enzi made special mention of veterans who have fallen since 9/11, saying the gave their all in the struggle against terrorism.
