The fire burning in Seminoe Canyon between Miracle Mile and Seminoe Reservoir State Park is at 37 percent containment. Both recreation areas are open for use, but Lauren McKeever, Seminoe Fire spokesperson, says recreationists should expect smoky conditions.

"Depending on when people are here it will vary what the smoke conditions are. For instances, right now its just lightly smoky. There was a little bit of rain a little while ago, yesterday it was clear off and on. So it just depends upon what the weathers doing and what the fires doing."

McKeever says thanks to the recent rains firefighters made excellent progress in the last 24 hours. The fire has burned about 3600 acres. No structures have been destroyed and no one has been injured.
