Seedling trees for windbreaks and habitat enhancements on rural properties are ready for ordering. The U-W Ag extension office in Casper offers various species in bundles of 30 to 50 through its Seedling Program.

Horticulturalist Donna Cuin says they're encouraging people to get their orders in for the best selection.

"These are trees that are available to put in windbreaks for properties that are at least two acres in size. And they're intended for windbreaks for homestead or for protection of wildlife and livestock."

Cuin says prices range from $40 to about $60 for cottonwood, green ash, willows, Austrian and ponderosa pine and other species suitable to Wyoming's climate.

Orders can be placed through March 9th for delivery at the end of April.
