Section of I-80 Closed in Cheyenne, Width Restrictions in Effect

A section of the right-hand lane of westbound Interstate 80 in Cheyenne will be closed for about a week due to bridge deck work.

Wyoming Department of Transportation spokesman Matt Murphy says the Walterscheid Boulevard bridge developed a hole, and both it and the Central Avenue/I-180 bridge are in need of repairs.

Murphy says loads wider than 15 feet will not be permitted through the work area, but can detour through Exit 362.

He also urged drivers to use caution in the area.
