MORGAN, Utah (AP) — A search is on in Utah for an overdue airplane that departed the Morgan County Airport for Wyoming and hasn't been heard from since.

Authorities say the Wyoming pilot left in a small plane Thursday, then turned around in the Coalville area and headed back toward Morgan. The plane's signal was then lost.

Morgan County Sheriff's Chief Deputy Kevin Edwards says he believes the aircraft when down east of the Snowbasin area and west of the airport. Weather was snowy overnight.

Officials from the Civil Air Patrol have been called in to help search for the location of the plane.
