Search Continues For New Hospital CEO

The President of the Cheyenne Regional  Medical Center Board of Trustees says a national search firm in charge of finding a new CEO has finished surveying local hospital stakeholders about what qualifications they would like to see in a new hospital head.

Joe Evans says beyond the logistical knowledge needed to run a medical facility, survey respondents cited involvement in the community as one of their top priorities. Survey respondents also cited good communication skills as another priority, particularly in regard to being able to address the legislature, the Chamber of Commerce and other organizations.

Evans says survey respondents included hospital employees, the local medical community, business leaders and Cheyenne Mayor Rick Kaysen among others.

Evans says now that the survey has been completed, the company hired to find a new CEO, Witt-Kieffer, will begin their national search for a new CRMC leader. Evans says he expects the search to take 4-5 months, but he adds finding the right person is a much higher priority than is wrapping up the search quickly.
