A suspicious vehicle reportedly approached a student at a bus stop just outside Casper on Thursday, and the occupants reportedly asked the student to get into the van.

The incident occurred Thursday evening near the bus stop on the Old Salt Creek Highway. No further identifying information regarding the suspicious vehicle was available Friday afternoon, according to a statement from the Natrona County School District.

The District says the report is being investigated by the Natrona County Sheriff's Office, and law enforcement will have an increased presence in the area.

Additionally, the district asks parents and guardians to remind their students that they should not accept rides from people they don't know. Students also should not approach unknown vehicles.

Students can report suspicious behavior to their bus driver, school personnel, parent or guardian, or local law enforcement.
