A Powell man is heading back to prison after escaping from the Casper Re-Entry Center.

Twenty-eight year old Ryan Burgess was sentenced to four-to-six years in prison, after pleading guilty to one count of escape.

Prosecutors say in October, burgess failed to returned to the C.R.C. after an authorized visit to a local government agency office.

He was found two days later in downtown Casper on two seperate occasions.

Prosecutors say Burgess pointed a pellet gun at Casper Police Officers each time, and in the second instance, an officer opened fire, hitting him in the arm.

Burgess was finishing up a two-to-three year sentence for a 2009 escape charge from the Wyoming Honor Farm in Riverton, and was up for parole in April of next year.

Before that, he was serving time for a manslaughter charge out of Powell.
