Ruby Maddox Given Probation
A former probation officer finds herself facing probation.
Ruby Maddox was given a three-to-five year suspended prison sentence, with 3 years of probation, after pleading guilty to one count of possession of a controlled substance and four counts of petty larceny.
She was also given four six-month suspended prison sentences, to be served at the same time as the other sentence.
According to the Natrona County Sheriff’s Office, in 2012, Maddox was working as a probation agent for the Wyoming Department of Corrections, and at various times took pills from clients during home visits, and in one instance, a puppy.
An investigation also revealed she took money meant for a dunk tank that was used at a recovery rally.
She has also been ordered to complete the felony program at the Casper Re-Entry Center, and the Natrona County Drug Court Program.
Maddox is being held at the Natrona County Detention Center, until she is accepted into the CRC program.
