A trough of low pressure will continue to control the weather across the Rockies and Plains today and Friday.  Within this weather system, there will be faster-moving weather disturbances that pass through the state of Wyoming.  A cold front will also dig south and stall over the region.  Expect cloudy, overcast skies with light to moderate snowfall throughout the entire state during this time.  The best chance for accumulating snowfall will be in south-central and southeastern portions of the state.  There will be some bands of moderate to heavy snowfall that move across these areas, which will start around 12 PM today and last through about mid-day on Friday.  This will likely cause roadways to become icy and snow-packed and visibility will also be reduced to poor at times.  For the rest of the state, roads are expected to be slick and icy and there will also be periods of reduced visibility.  Temperatures will be cold and slightly below average today, with high temperatures in the 30's to lower 40's.  Even colder and well below average temperatures will then arrive by Friday.  Higher pressure brings warmer and more settled weather to Wyoming on Saturday and Sunday.
