CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — An independent economic research firm ranks Wyoming number two in the nation in its ranking of states for being pro-business.

Wyoming rose from number five in Pollina Corporate Real Estate's ranking last year. This year's ranking is Wyoming's highest in the ranking.

The Pollina study was co-published with the American Economic Development Institute, a nonpartisan public policy and economics research group.

Wyoming's number two ranking in the study is based on an analysis of workforce, taxes and other factors such as education.

Shawn Reese, of the Wyoming Business Council, says the Pollina ranking is something companies across the country watch and will help Wyoming recruit businesses.
