Rescued Family Arrive

SAN DIEGO (AP) — A navy warship carrying a family whose sailboat broke down 900 miles off the Mexican coast is expected to reach San Diego this afternoon. California Air National Guard members rescued Charlotte and Eric Kaufman and their two daughters last week, after one-year-old Lyra became ill with salmonella-like symptoms. She quickly responded to new medication, but the Kaufmans have been criticized for their decision to try to sail around the world with such young children. Family members say the couple does not want to talk to the media.
