President Obama Announces Osama Bin Laden Killed by American Military

" A small team of Americans carried out the operation... they killed Osama bin Laden and took custody of his body "

Those were the words of President Barack Obama Sunday night as he officially announced from the East Room of the White House that Osama bin Laden is in fact dead. Killed a week ago by a U.S. special forces, news of bin Laden's death was held close to the chest by U.S. officials pending DNA verification. On this, the eight anniversary of President George W. Bush's "Mission Accomplished" speech, there is little doubt left that the mission truly has been accomplished.
