Resurfacing of Poplar Street from I-25 south to the railroad bridge happens this summer. An informational meeting presents the project Wednesday, 5:30 to 7 p.m., at the Wyoming Department of Transportation offices. The road work will limit traffic to one lane for about 4/10ths of a mile during most of the summer, with total closure during a 10 day stretch.

"While there won't be access shut down to any of the businesses, we are going to have to shut down a portion from Big Horn Road which is just north of the railroad bridge back to West 1st Street."

Wydot Spokesman, Jeff Goetz, says during that time business access will be from Interstate 25.

He says there will be plenty of warning ahead of that 10 day closure. Resurfacing should begin by late April or early May. The project end-date is slated for August 31st.

WYDOT District 2 Headquarters are located at , 900 Bryan Stock Trail, in Casper.
