Tell them off and hang it up.

The Casper Police Department is warning of yet another scam of someone claiming to be from the U.S. Internal Revenue Service who calls area residents and demands money.

"The victim is told that if they don't pay immediately, the Casper Police will come arrest them," according to a news release issued Thursday.

If that isn't enough, some victims had a second suspect call back claiming to be a Casper police officer, according to the news release.

"The IRS does not demand money over the phone and the Casper Police Department is not working with the IRS to arrest people for delinquent taxes," according to the news release.

If you receive a call like this, tell the caller that you know it is a scam and hang up.
