A former Chief Financial Officer for the Shepard of the Valley nursing home in Casper, has been charged with taking money from the non-profit group.

On Wednesday (September 21st), 64-year old Perry Vandeventer entered not guilty pleas to charges of grand larceny and obtaining property by false pretenses.

According to prosecutors, an investigation by nursing home staff found that Vandeventer received fraudulent expense reimbursements worth more than $24,000, and that he used 2 business credit cards to charge more than $28,000 in personal expense.

The transactions occurred between March of 2008 and January of 2011.

Vandeventer recently moved to Colorado, and remains free on $5,000 bond.
