RIVERTON, Wyo. (AP) — A lawsuit over potentially tainted groundwater outside Pavillion is set to go to trial after a judge denied an oil and gas company's request for summary judgment.

Jeff and Rhonda Locker have sued Encana Oil and Gas USA. They allege gas development near their property contaminated their groundwater. Encana denies the allegations.

Encana's attorneys had asked for summary judgment in the ongoing lawsuit in December, but district court judge Alan Johnson ruled that such a judgment was not appropriate in the case.

Dates for the trial will be set later this month.
