Casper City Manager John Patterson was grilled Wednesday by the group he hopes will be his future employers, the North Las Vegas City Council.

But, he was more sautéed than grilled as the Council there avoided the heaviest controversies during his tenure in Casper, according to the North Las Vegas Review Journal.

There were standard questions of a very general nature concerning management philosophy, relations with unions, and analysis of the city’s problems.

Patterson and the other finalist, who already is the Public Works Director for the city, were asked the same exact questions.

But Council members can go into more detail about questions and controversies in one on one meetings that will come in the next few days.
