A segment of Interstate 25 remains closed to traffic following a winter storm that dumped significant amounts of snow across much of Wyoming.

According to WyoRoad.info, I-25 is closed in both directions between Cheyenne and Wheatland. As of 10 a.m. Monday, WYDOT estimated the roadway would reopen in six to eight hours.

The rest of I-25 in Wyoming remains open, though WYDOT advises the roadway to be slick in areas, with black ice near Casper and drifted snow between Casper and Midwest.

A number of other highways in the Chugwater area are also closed due to the weather. Chugwater Service Rod, WY 313 and WY 321 are all shut down, and were also set to reopen in six to eight hours as of 10 a.m.

WYDOT reminds drivers that parking on any section of closed roadway is prohibited and delays WYDOT's efforts to reopen the road.
