CODY, Wyo. (AP) — A Wyoming psychiatrist is being held on $50,000 cash bond after authorities say he violated court orders by drinking alcohol.

Cody police say they arrested an intoxicated Matthew Hopkins on June 30.

Two days earlier Hopkins had been placed on unsupervised probation for backing into a parked car. His probation terms included no alcohol.

In addition, Hopkins is scheduled to go on trial Oct. 12 on charges that he caused another collision last March by getting high off of compressed air. The charges include a felony count of aggravated assault.

Last week, the judge in that case increased Hopkins' bond because of his latest arrest.

Hopkins, whose medical license has been suspended, argued against increasing the bond, saying he wasn't a danger to anyone.
