Alcova trailer park lessees will likely need to live with a $400 increase in their yearly fee.

The majority of the Natrona County Commission, on Tuesday, said no to a review of a recent property assessment that would raise yearly rates from $2000 to $2450.

Road, Bridge, and Parks Director, Mike Haigler, says it was suggested the money could be better spent.

"When the cost of doing the review verses other needs-to spend the money on a review and/or a whole new appraisal, could amount to in excess of $20,000."

Commissioner, Rob Hendry, indicated investment in sewer and water lines might be a better way to use the money. The Bureau of Reclamation and the Parks Board both deferred to the commission in the decision.

A formal approval would come at the April 4th Natrona County Commission meeting.
