The U.S. Postal Service announced a new plan today, designed to keep the nation’s smallest Post Offices open for business.  The agency had been looking at plans to close hundreds of Post Office branches in an effort to reduce operating costs.  Those proposed cuts had included the possible closure of 36 Post Office branches in Wyoming.

The new plan would keep the existing Post Office in place, but with modified retail window hours to match customer use. Access to the retail lobby and to PO Boxes would remain unchanged.  The exact details of the plan are expected to be announced shortly.
