Nicholaus Harford Pleads Guilty To Aggravated Robbery
A Casper man has admitted that he robbed another man at gunpoint.
Twenty-five year old Nicholaus Harford has pleaded guilty to one charge of aggravated robbery,
Investigators with the Casper Police Department say in middle September 2015, the victim was cleaning out a friend's car near the intersection of East 4th and South Park Streets, when he heard footsteps behind him and a male voice saying "give me your money."
The victim turned around, saw two men later determined to be Harford and 22-year old Andrew Melikian, with a handgun pointed at him, and a bandanna covering their faces.
Harford and Melikian took the victim's wallet and cell phone.
Police learned that there was an attempt to use the victim's debit cards at a gas station, and surveillance video showed 21-year old Raechel Holmes as the one trying to use them, but was not successful.
When interviewed, Holmes said she was contacted by Harford who admitted to the robbery, and then he gave her one of the victim's debit cards to use, but that story changed and Holmes said she was present when the robbery was committed.
Holmes added that Harford, Melikian and herself all planned to use the stolen debit cards.
Officers later recovered a gun (BB gun), and found some methamphetamine in the getaway vehicle.
Prosecutors say Harford was on probation in an unrelated matter, when this crime was committed.
As part of a plea deal, prosecutors will seek no more than a five-to-seven year prison sentence.
Harford is being held on $75,000 bond, and will be sentenced at a later date.
