Two people have been charged in connection with a shooting at a Halloween party.

Eighteen-year-old Nicholas Frederick is facing two counts of aggravated assault, and 19-year old Kelly Smith has been charged with accessory after the fact.

Casper Police say Frederick and Smith were at a party last Halloween, on the 1100 block of South Jackson Street, when Frederick got into an altercation with the host, who told police that Frederick later pulled out a gun, and fired one shot, grazing his head.

Witnesses told investigators that Smith drove off with Frederick, who fired off several more shots as he was leaving.

He was picked up about a month later in Colorado.

Frederick is being held on $250,000 bond, awaiting trial

In an interview with police, Smith said she did not hear the gun go off, but officers later found several shell cases on the road and one in her vehicle.

She was charged with accessory after the fact, because investigators say they believe she was trying to hinder the investigation going on with Frederick.
