The first Wednesday Night Live at the NIC happens this week.

Lori Klatt, is events coordinator for the Nicolaysen and she says they've got eight bands lined up, some local, some from out-of-state, for this weekly event that seems to grow in popularity each year.

"These concerts have gotten up to- I think with Kirlen last year- I think we had a 1000 people stuck in our little back yard. But it's so intimate and so community. The community loves it and it just gets bigger every single year."

Klatt says John Kirlin and the High Plains Drifters will be back again this year. The band is slated for July 18th. This Wednesday, July 11th, it's the folk duo the Cantrells. Klatt says vendors offer food and drinks for sale, but the music is live and free at 5:30 on Wednesday evenings this summer at the NIC.
