Over 60 artists from around the country will be showcasing their work this weekend at the festival and over one third of the artists are new this year.

Amanda Helm with the Nicolaysen Art Museum says that they are excited to be bringing in so many new artists.

"It keeps it fresh for all the festival goers that want to see some new and different art- this is the way they can do that," said Helm.

She points out that people will still be able to come check out their favorite artists from years past as well.

Helm says that there is something for everyone (even the car buff in the family) with the return of the classic car show.

"If you are into classic cars and that type of art it is amazing to see what these people have done to their cars and all the work and love that has gone into those pieces of art," said Helm, "Others can go see the visual artists or sit down and enjoy a nice concert."
The festival will also feature a family area and a family stage with a variety of entertainment, a community marketplace with over 30 businesses and non-profit organizations and artist demonstrations in the lobby of the NIC.

The festival is free and begins this Friday starting at 5pm til 9pm and will continue Saturday from 9am to 8pm and Sunday from 10am to 6pm.
