The National Federation for Independent Business/Wyoming, has endorsed Senator Mike Enzi for re-election. The reasons for them throwing their weight behind the Enzi candidacy can be found in this press release...

"The voice of American small business has endorsed U.S. Sen. Mike Enzi for re-election, praising his continued work for Main Street, mom-and-pop enterprises of the nation.

“Senator Enzi has never forgotten his own small-business roots, and I can’t tell you enough how much of a qualitative difference this makes in the shaping of Congressional legislation,” said Tony Gagliardi, Wyoming state director for the National Federation of Independent Business, America’s leading small-business association. “In everything he does, he’s never lost sight of the vital fact that small businesses are not smaller versions of bigger businesses. They have different difficulties in remaining solvent.”

Gagliardi cited the Almanac of American Politics’ description of Enzi as having “a reputation as a hard worker who pays attention to the details of legislation and who looks for areas of compromise” as the best reason why small business is grateful for such a leader.

The endorsement was made by Save America’s Free Enterprise Trust, the political action committee of the National Federation of Independent Business, America’s Voice of Small Business. It was based on positions regarding key small-business issues so far in this Congress, such as health care, taxes, and labor and regulations."
