New Year’s Assault at Sidelines Sportsbar
An incident at Sidelines Sports Bar sends a woman to the E.R. on New Year's Eve.
Shortly after two in the morning on Saturday, a seemingly unprovoked attack at Sidelines Bar left a Casper woman bloodied and in need of medical attention.
According to police reports, Brandon Moore is accused of smashing a beer bottle over Mallory Winfrey's head causing a deep laceration which required her to go to the Wyoming Medical Center.
Police were on duty in the parking lot when a bouncer yelled for their assistance. Upon entering the bar, for Moore's safety, officers quickly escorted him out as an angry mob had converged upon him.
Moore stated in an interview that he had acted out in retaliation because another male inside had assaulted his friend.
Police interviews with Winfrey and her husband, Robert Winfrey, stated that they did not know Moore. They further stated that there was no warning or indication of the oncoming assault and that there was no reason why she would have been targeted.
Moore was charged with aggravated assault and transported to the Natrona County Detention Center
