CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — Gov. Matt Mead has selected a veteran Natrona County prosecutor to serve as circuit court judge there.

Mead announced his selection of Brian Christensen to serve as circuit court judge in the Seventh Judicial District. Christensen succeeds Judge Michael Huber who is retiring.

Christensen has served as assistant district attorney in Natrona County. He's a graduate of the University of Wyoming.

Mead says Christensen has strong roots in Wyoming and in Casper and extensive courtroom experience.

Christensen says he's honored by the appointment and looks forward to serving in his new job.
