Natrona County Commissioners considered a mix of budget cutting measures at a work session Tuesday that include a hiring freeze effective immediately and adjustments to the county health plan that will require, as of October 1st, a $45  a month premium payment from full time employees along with other changes to the plan.

As a counter balance, all but one commissioner, Matt Keating, agreed to a $1000 bonus for full time employees in most departments who've worked at least six months. It would be paid out in two installments and excludes  county health department and airport employees.

Commissioners will schedule further meetings to consider another 5 percent budget reduction for each department.
