A Natrona County man has plead not guilty to sexually assaulting a child under the age of thirteen.

Kenneth Hart appeared in Natrona County District Court Friday afternoon, shackled hand and foot and wearing an orange jail jumpsuit.  Hart faces two counts of 2nd degree sexual abuse of a minor and one count of 3rd degree sexual abuse of a minor.

According to official paperwork, the case was brought to the attention of investigators by The Department of Family Services, when it was said that the victim alleged that hart had touched the victim in an inappropriate manner between the January and September of 2011.

Police paperwork also says that, during a police interview, hart confessed to one instance of molestation during the winter of 2011.

After being read the charges by District Court Judge Thomas Sullins, Hart entered a plea of "not-guilty" to all three counts.

Hart will face trial at a later date.

Each charge of 2nd Degree Sexual Abuse of a Minor carries a possible sentence of 20 years.  The charge of 3rd Degree Sexual Abuse of a Minor carries a possible sentence of up to 15 years.
