Natrona County High School will resume classes as normal on Friday, December 9th. The school district says all heat and power systems at the school have been restored.

Natrona County High School will send its students home at early today because of persistent electrical problems, a school district spokesman said Thursday morning.

"Due to issues with electricity and heat systems at NCHS, school will be dismissed at 12:15 today," Kelly Eastes said.

"Parents can pick up their students at 12:15 at the school," Eastes said. "Transportation will be provided by the buses for those kids that use buses."

The electricity remains on in the athletic building, so coaches will contact parents and students to let them know whether their athletic activities will happen this afternoon, he said.

The school's principal is talking with faculty and staff to determine whether they will be able to go home, he said.

Staff and work crews will continue through today to try to determine the problems and fix them, he said.

"If for some reason, they're not going to be resolved, tomorrow we will let everyone know," Eastes said.

The power problems affect the school only.

Rocky Mountain Power is not reporting any outages in Casper or Wyoming.
