The local Republican Party is looking for candidates to fill the term of District 35 Representative Kendell Kroeker.

Kroeker announced he was stepping down due to business concerns.

Here is the official letter from the party...

As most of you know HD 35 Representative Kendell Kroeker has tendered his resignation effective January 1, 2017.  NCRP (Natrona County Republican Party) will need to find his replacement as soon as possible, per the Natrona County Bylaws Article III, section 5 - titled Vacancies and sub-item b; i-iv.  Only precinct committee people within HD 35 will be allowed to vote, but the meeting will be open to the public.

Time is of the essence and we will hold this meeting on Saturday, December 31st at 9 AM in the morning in the Theatre Room at the Ramkota.  The doors will open at 8:30 AM and the gavel will go down at 9 AM.  The only piece of business will be the selection of a replacement to fill the vacancy in HD 35.  Once  the precinct people in HD 35 have voted on the top three (3) candidates those names will be submitted to the County Commissioners. The County Commissioners will then be able to visit with each candidate and vote at their meeting on January 3, 2017. The newly selected candidate will be able to be in Cheyenne to start the session on January 10, 2017.

Each candidate will get a two (2) minute opening and closing remark.  There will be five (5) questions given to each candidate to answer.  The other candidates will be sequestered so as not to hear responses from others.

This vacancy is open to any Republican in HD35 that was registered as a Republican with the Natrona County Clerk's office prior to the date of the resignation letter, which was dated 12/21/16 (and each submission will be verified). A letter of intent must be e-mailed to Chairman Bonnie Foster at bmrfoster@gmail.com on or before 5 PM on December 30, 2016.
