The Natrona County Fire District had a busy night.

They are battling a 30 acre fire off Hat Six Road. The Deer Creek fire is burning in an area of grass, sage and timber. Crews from the District worked the blaze through the night and expect to have it contained sometime tonight.

A District spokesman told K2 Radio News that the cool weather has been a huge help in fighting the fire.

Another small fire broke out overnight. The NCFD, Evansville Fire, Bar Nunn Fire and Casper BLM also responded to a wildland fire in the Cole Creek area last night. The fire was contained to just under four acres with one structure lost along with a couple of outbuildings damaged.
