Natrona County ‘Community Emergency Response’ Training Begins This Week
The flash floods in Colorado and the Hat 6 road area are reminders that natural disasters can strike at any time. The Natrona County Emergency Management Office is offering a free, nine-week hands-on training class for area residents that covers the different facets of disaster from disaster preparedness to terrorism awareness.
Natrona County Emergency Manager Lieutenant Stu Anderson says the Community Emergency Response Training teaches volunteers how they can help in a disaster, without becoming a victim themselves.
Classes will be held every Thursday at 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. for anyone interested in joining the Community Emergency Response Team.
