When Casper Cutthroats owner Aaron McCreight started the team in April, he could not have envisioned a better year. Record setting performances by his players, record setting attendance figures for the Mountain Collegiate Baseball League and an appearance in the Championship game at the end of the season, all added to the good fortunes of this first year team.

Those achievements have not gone unnoticed as is evidenced by the interest shown by Sports Events magazine. Now Sports Events is not a Sports Illustrated but rather a sports magazine with a mission  to help planners of amateur sporting events and competitions be more effective, informed and successful with their events. Their editorial content includes “how-to” type articles written by recognized authorities, news and information relevant to sports event planning, spotlights on destinations and sports complexes, interviews and profiles, and other items of interest to the industry.

Kristin Mcintosh spoke with Aaron about a variety of topics including how is Casper as a sports destination? what made him buy a baseball team? and what do visitors think about the team? see the article on pages 17 and 18  HERE.

Aaron also sat down with us to talk about the article,

You know it touches on all the hot button issues that are big in my industry right now like product development and relevancy and standing out above the crowd and making your destination different.

Hear that conversation here.

For those interested, copies of the magazine can be picked up at the Casper Area Convention And Visitors Bureau at 992 N Poplar.
