A Casper man has entered a plea in court, in a case in which he's accused of engaging in sexual acts on a then-elementary school aged child.

Twenty-eight year old Nathan Wagoner has pleaded not guilty to one count of first degree sexual abuse of a minor, and one count of second degree sexual abuse of a minor.

Investigators with the Casper Police Department interviewed the victim, who had said sometime in the past five years, Wagoner and the victim had performed sexual acts on each other.

When interviewed, Wagoner said he was living with the victim’s parents at the time, and on one occasion allowed the situation to get out of hand, but denied some of the acts in which he’s accused of.

He is free on $10,000 bond awaiting trial, and could face between 25-50 years in prison on the first degree sexual abuse of a minor charge, and up to 20 years in prison on the second degree sexual abuse of a minor charge if convicted.
