The strong ridge of high pressure overhead will stay in place for the next few days.  That means more sun and more heat for many portions of the state.  Today and Thursday temperatures will soar into the 80s and 90s in most areas.

Pacific moisture will allow for a few showers and thunderstorms mainly in northern Wyoming today.  Some portions of northeastern and north central Wyoming could see strong to severe thunderstorms containing gusty winds, frequent lightning, hail and heavy rain.  A Flash Flood Watch is in effect through this evening for Sheridan County.

On Thursday some of the moisture in the north will push further south.  This will allow for a few isolated gusty thunderstorms in the central and eastern portions of the state.  Once again, northeast Wyoming could be in line for strong to severe thunderstorms.
